AAPHD Student Chapters

The American Association of Public Health Dentistry has charted 31 Student Chapters across the country since the Association recognized its first chapter in 2009 at the University of Illinois-Chicago. AAPHD thanks our Student Chapter Sponsors for their help in supporting the activities of the Student Chapters and bringing them together during the National Oral Health Conference® each year.

During the 2014 National Oral Health Conference representatives from Student Chapters met to share information on their projects and how to prepare for meetings with federal and state legislators around the issues of Oral Health. The Student Chapters representatives will meet again in April 2016 during the National Oral Health Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The AAPHD Membership Committee has developed guidelines for individuals to follow in requesting a Chapter Charter. If you are working with students who may be interested in starting an AAPHD Student Chapter, the information on how to organize is available through the links below.
