Small Grants Program

The AAPHD Foundation Small Grants Program, in the amount of $5,000, was established to encourage innovative education and research programs that advance the mission and goals of dental public health:

  • Build and strengthen the dental public health workforce
  • Translate science into practice
  • Initiate studies or interventions to improve access to oral health services
  • Maintain competency in dental public health.

The program is only open to AAPHD members and will not support direct patient care programs.

Priority will be given to:

  • Applications from individuals who are at an early stage of their dental public health careers. We are especially interested in applications from residents in the DPH Residency programs who are completing their required research projects and from members of Student Chapters.
  • Applications that seek to utilize and enhance partnership with existing programs, projects, and organizations.

The funding activity has a limited duration, up to one year. The recipient(s) is required to report/present a poster at the annual meeting following their grant award.

The Call for Proposals is now closed.
